2011.11.16
The University of Bologna announced that its Academic Bodies have recently introduced a new procedure for regulating the mobility of faculty and researchers under the framework of International Agreements. This new procedure involves a competitive selection process, which is scheduled for the beginning of each academic year. The mobility positions are assigned to a list of professors and/or researchers of the University, who may apply either to go abroad to one of Bologna’s partner Universities or invite a colleague from the partner Universities to spend a period in Bologna.
The published call for proposals from faculty and researchers interested in participating in the mobility projects under the framework of International Agreements is now available online, at the following web-page:
The web page is in Italian, and only professors of the University of Bologna can apply for a mobility project. Should a professor or researcher be interested in spending a mobility period at Bologna, we advise you to contact the professors in charge of the international agreements (for detailed contact information, refer to “allegato 1”※) in order to make arrangements for the application process. Please review the FAQs (http://www.ipo.titech.ac.jp/temp/FAQ_BandoConve2012_ENG.pdf) (※)dedicated to helping foreign professors or researchers better understand the procedures involved.

※In the FAQs Article 5 it is noted that the international agreements normally provide financial support; however, for the agreement between Bologna and Tokyo Tech there is no policy outlined for financial support for faculty exchanges.
