"CAMPUS ASIA program gives me a lot of opportunities. I can see the numerous applications which I never heard about before. This experience will broaden my academic insight and knowledge in the practical point of view. Moreover, I researched on poly crystal model in Korea. However, my lab in Japan wanted me to research on single crystal model with commercial program. I think these experiences on different theories (however, these two theories have common parts) will give me better understanding on my theoretical base and future research."

"I want to appreciate Campus Asia program that offers me a wonderful life and study experience in Tokyo Tech. I came to Tokyo Tech this August. In the last 4 months, I was staying in Kobatake Lab to do research. Prof. Kobatake and Assistant professor Mie-san helped me a lot with my research project, they instructed me patiently when my research encountered problems. And students in this lab are really kind, they teach me how to speak Japanese, how to use the experimental equipment etc. I truly want to show my sincere gratitude to them for their kindness."

"It was my first time of being a member of a laboratory. Although I have failed three times, but peptide synthesis was quite interesting. At first, I researched about Fmoc based Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis, the most efficient way of synthesizing a peptide. From that time, I was curious about the structure and folding of a peptide. During this period, I have presented two report meetings and one paper meeting. When preparing the paper meeting, I studied about the full synthesis of Erythropoietin, a glycoprotein...I have learned about various way of ligating peptides. To get the properly folded EPO, it is necessary to ligate peptides in a proper order. If I didn’t come here, I wouldn’t know about these things, and couldn’t able to experience the laboratory’s atmosphere."

"Since this is the first time for me to be in Japan, things seem a little difficult. Fortunately, with the help of the CAMPUS Asia, I overcame all the difficulties. For example, the CAMPUS Asia helped me to find a house, choose my classes, etc. When it comes to study, I think one of my classes is very interesting. It is about mechanical design. I work with eight Japanese students, and we design and make a machine all by ourselves. I learn a lot from this class. All in a word, I appreciate a lot to have this chance to study in Japan."

"I have taken the course recommended by my advisor Prof. Takeda where students have the liberty to make mechanisms by themselves. We group members communicate with each other frequently in order to discuss the plan we should take. During this period we can exchange the proposal and learn from each other. After practical estimate each group has the task to make every mechanism by their hands which is pretty good for us to train our abilities. The professor and assistants can provide necessary help to us when we have some questions. Now I can really enjoy myself in this class."

"My research in this school went well I think. I'm satisfied with it. For the Japanese language class, it was enjoyable and useful. Although in many times I still cannot understand what Japanese people say, at least I think when I meet Japanese people from now I can say some Japanese words for welcome."

"Campus Asia is a good program for students like me. Compared to other international programs, it includes courses and research as well, which would be very useful for students who stay in Japan for a short time...to do research and to learn more about Japan may both be very important for us. The life for students of Japan is a little different from that of China. Maybe students here is more 'sophisticated' and I learnt a lot from them, not only on the academic aspects but also on the way of thinking."

"I had a very special and thankful time in Tokyo Tech. Everybody around me were supportive and kind. I really hoped that I could stay longer. If somebody ask me how good this program is, definitely I would say it is amazing. My professor and laboratory members were always ready to listen to me...The interaction I had with Japanese students was good. To be honest, sometimes I had difficulty in communicating with those students, but in the end, we got the ideas."

"This program is very successful even this is just the first year. I hope that the professors can give us some paper-materials after lecture for us to learn because sometimes we cannot understand quite well in class. I hope that this program can expand to some other countries in Asia, for example, India. Generally speaking, I really enjoyed my life here."
