In principle, all students are expected to participate in the entire duration of program set by Tokyo Tech. Only changes or withdrawal of participation due to unexpected circumstances will be considered. In such case, the student must immediately notify the program coordinator at his/her home university. Any cost incurred from changes or withdrawal will be covered by the student and his/her home university.
Students are invited to apply for CAMPUS Asia by nomination. Applications without approval from home university's CAMPUS Asia Coordinator will not be considered.

- Please make sure you have completed the online application and attached all the necessary documents before submitting your application. Tokyo Tech will not accept any incomplete applications or documents received after the stated deadline.
- In addition to online submission of the required documents, Tokyo Tech may request submission of originals for selection, visa application, etc.
- Submitted documents will not be returned under any circumstances. Please keep a copy of all documents for your own reference.
- Admission may be withdrawn at any time, even after enrollment, if the application documents are found to be invalid or contain false information.

a) Tokyo Institute of Technology online Application
- All applicants should have received approval from CAMPUS Asia Coordinator at the home university before starting the online applications.
b) Official Transcript of your academic record in English (PDF)
- Please include the guidelines of the grading system in English.
- Please submit transcripts for at least the last two academic years.
c) Recommendation Letter from your home university (Free format) (PDF)
d) Verification of Student Status at your home university (PDF)
- This refers to the Certificate of Enrollment that proves the period of study and your status at your home university. A Student ID card is unacceptable.

- Please note COE is required for your Japanese visa application.
- Please complete this application form (containing 5 pages) before you start your online application.
g) Copy of Passport (PDF)
- Page(s) that verify your name, nationality and photo.
- For applicants without a valid passport, an expired passport or an authorized ID card will also be accepted as long as it can be used to verify your legal name. Please apply/renew your passport immediately and submit us a copy ASAP.
h) Official Test Result of TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, or equivalent document (PDF)
- Not mandatory but strongly recommended.
- Native speakers of English are exempt from this requirement.
i) Photograph (JPEG)
- Color photo with plain background that provide a clear, front view of your entire face with no hats or caps.
- It must be 350(height) x 290(width) pixels in JPEG format with a resolution of more than 300 dpi.
5. How to find a Tokyo Tech Academic Advisor
CAMPUS Asia students will join a Tokyo Tech laboratory and conduct research under the supervision of Tokyo Tech faculty. On the application form, you will be asked to provide names of three Tokyo Tech professors under whom you are interested in studying. In order to provide us with this information, you need to search for professors whose academic expertise closely mirrors your research interests. For the Summer Program, you do not need to contact Tokyo Tech professors directly on your own to serve as your advisor at the time of application. Based on your three choices listed on your application form, the Tokyo Tech CAMPUS Asia committee will make the advisor arrangements accordingly.
6. Timeline Upon Acceptance
a) Approximately two months before arrival
- If you are accepted by Tokyo Tech as a CAMPUS Asia participant, an Acceptance Letter and a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) will be sent from the International Student Exchange Division at Tokyo Tech.
- A Japanese visa can be obtained more smoothly with Certificate of Eligibility (COE) form (required application document).

b) At least one month before arrival
- Apply for a Japanese Visa at a Japanese Embassy or Consulate located near you with the Certificate of Eligibility (COE) which you will receive from Tokyo Tech.
c) At least two weeks before arrival
- Pre-arrival information, including dormitory information will be sent to each participant from Tokyo Tech.
d) Arrival in Japan
- Complete check-in procedures and orientation at Tokyo Tech.
